RE: Still Speechless.................Update today

Typically, the information out "there" is false or misleading.
The builder puts out the CC & R's when there is common area, tennis courts
and other like acreage.
The association only enforces the rules as stated legally by the builder.
The association has to act in a fiduciary capacity, otherwise they could be
sued for not enforcing the rules....when you move in, you sign off and there
should be no surprises. If you want to live in an area where the next door
neighbor can keep every car he's ever owned rusting out in the yard, that's
fine, it's a free country.
And there is room for everyone.
It doesn't make you any better, or any worse than the next person.

I trust a Dr about as far as I can throw one, unless off a cliff counts.
The clue is when you were told "as long as".....there's your answer, for the
most part.

RE: Michael Phelp's secret weapon

Gee, and here I thought it was the suit he wears, which is state of the art,
expensive, and takes 20 minutes to put on.
It's been on the news, but then that might be too factual

RE: Brett Favre

Joe
I'm right with you on this one (for a change). Romo hasn't arrived yet, pure
and simple. To say otherwise just means you are a die-hard Cowboy fan.
Nothing wrong with that. But it takes years to become a Favre type QB, as one
year does not make a wonder boy (except maybe in the movies).
Favre is a tough guy, ala Bradshaw. Only smarter LOL

RE: Brett Favre

Ladies....please !!!
I've been around for over 30 years watchting pro football, and have seen all
the great QB's, and all the great games. I have PSL's at Oakland, for years.
I can contribute some sense here, I have no dog in this fight.
First off, Romo couldn't shine Favre's shoes.
But Aiken is on the same level of Favre, no question there.
And please don't say Oakland could use a QB, they have the number 1 pick from
last year starting this year, and the number 4 pic (RB McFadden) which will
WOW the league soon enough.

RE: Anyone got an adult child living at home?

Now that you've heard from total strangers, what they would/might do, why not
do what YOU think YOU should do.
If you think they should pay, then charge them.
If you think they can stay for free, then let them.
Or something in between.

RE: 401K

The "spin" on those comments were negative.
If someone charges a new bed, a sofa/chair, they are creating debt on some
type of credit.
If someone buys a car on credit, or even 2 cars at the same time, it is on
a longer term contract.
Is this negative ?
Charge airline tickets for a vacation, Put the hotel bill on a credit card.
There should be a law against it ?
I know, there are people here who believe every dollar spent should be out
of current income.
That's just another opinion, and we know about that, don't we.

RE: Old movie memories

It was 1962, and the memory is faint.
You can get that movie on Netflix.
You could also see about owning a copy via imdb.com website, or Amazon.com

RE: Seattle has officially lost it's pro basketball team......

wimmen..........
Just think what we in the bay area (Ca) had to put up with the Oakland Raiders
going south to Los Angelese. They lost a lot of fans. They did come back,
10 years later. I rooted for the Raiders all along, never gave up. I go
to games (PSL season tickets) and watch them every week they are on the road.
I love Pro Football, and totally understand the feelings about other sports,
and local teams. I hoop when they win, and cry when they lose.
If someone doesn't get it, they don't get it, that's just how it goes.

RE: owed taxes,,, how do they do it???

Actually, it is a perfectly legitimate way to pay past IRS bills and become
current and a real taxpayer again.
I've done it for clients.
It's called "Offer in Compromise" and has been around for many, many years.
There are caveats, such as you have to file on time and pay your taxes due
for the following 5 years, as part of the contract.
It actually works, and the people generally aren't "deadbeats".
